Youth Ministry

Youth Culture can be an awkward, amazing, and scary place all at the same time.  As middle and high school students attempt to navigate all its challenges, our desire is to be a safe place where students can engage the gospel of Jesus Christ and its implications for their lives as they wrestle with tough questions, worship together, serve together, and do life together.

Summer Mission Trip - July 10-17, 2010!
This summer we will be taking a group of middle and high school students and families to Fairmont, WV for our summer mission trip.  While in Fairmont, we will be ministering the love of Christ to needy people as we repair and improve the homes of those who don't have the ability to do the work themselves.  This is an incredible opportunity for both adults and students, and we want you to come with us!  The cost is $465 per person, and we will have several fundraising opportunities leading up to the trip.  For more information go to http://www.mtwfairmont.blogspot.com/.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

ReFORM - Sunday Nights 7:00 - 8:15 PM in the Firestone Room
Teaching Series - "True"
Though neither may admit it, high school believers and unbelievers often have the same questions and the same nagging doubts about Jesus, the Bible and the Christian Faith.  "How can there be just one true religion?" and "Hasn't science disproved the Bible?"  These are the kinds of questions we'll be talking about this semester as we deal with the ultimate question, "Is Christianity true?"  So, if you're a believer or an unbeliever, we invite you to come.

The Bible is a story about many things.  It tells us who God is, who we are, where we came from, and why life can be hard; but ultimately, it tells the story of Jesus, a story of kingship, romance, action, adventure, and rescue.  This year we're going to take a closer look at that story from the perspective of Mark, and you don't want to miss it.

"The gunfire around us makes it hard to hear.  But the human voice is different from other sounds.  It can be heard over noises that bury everything else.  Even when it's not shouting.  Even when it's just a whisper.  Even the lowest whisper can be heard - over armies...when it's telling the truth."
- Edmund Zuwanie, The Interpreter
